Bridges

Bridges are utilized when tooth loss occurs due to gum disease, decay, or injury. These are cemented into place to help close gaps and maintain the position of the rest of your teeth. The traditional bridge is the most popular type and is usually made of porcelain fused to metal. These mimic the look of natural teeth and are highly durable. This type refers to two anchoring teeth that are fitted with crowns and are attached to artificial teeth to fill the gap created by one or more missing teeth.

Crowns

A crown is a cap that is placed over a tooth that has been damaged or has suffered from advanced decay. These are used to cover the remaining tooth and restore its function, strength, and esthetic. This procedure usually requires two appointments.

The first appointment includes taking several impressions that will be used to create your custom crown. We will prepare the tooth by removing decay and shaping the surface to fit the crown. You will be fitted with a temporary crown as ittakes approximately two weeks to complete the permanent crown at a dental lab.

In the second appointment, your temporary crown will be removed, the tooth will be cleaned, and your new crown will be placed. We will ensure that the spacing and bite are accurate and that you are completely comfortable.
